Vehicular traffic will be allowed until midnight on Thursday announced the management of Manila North Cemetery that is involved in cleaning up the tombs. All Saints Day will be observed on Friday. This was reported by Athena Imperial on Unang Balita. The security was beefed up around 4 AM at the cemetery as the Armed Forces of Philippines were alerted not just for security purposes but cleanup as well. Security checks will be conducted at the main gate, and tents have been erected for this purpose. People who come to visit the tomb will be whisked for items like sharp objects, pets, alcohol, gambling items, loud speakers and flammable objects. The restriction will come into effect on Friday.
Visitors who are coming to visit the tombs of their near and dear are requested not to throw garbage around. The environmental watchdog EcoWaste Coalition asked people to use the trash bin and not litter at the cemetery premises. It has become a common sight every year to notice overloaded trash trucks equipped with insinkerator badger 5 food waste disposer soon after All Saints’ Day. The place is already getting ready for the event with vendors stocking on candles and flowers. A large crowd turnover is expected for the event. The administration has taken all precautions to keep the rescue agencies in place to attend to emergency situations.
